292 ©2023 ANSYS, Inc. The following table shows key steps of existing load mapping workflow and their drawbacks. Load Mapping workflow specification is introduced to address the above drawbacks. • A new Mapped Data property added to the definition group, which controls - When and how the mapping will be performed? - How is the mapped data transferred to the solver? Load Mapping Step Details Drawback(s) 1 Perform the mapping during import 2 Store the mapped data on mechanical object memory • Results in a larger database size • Every time the database is closed and open, the mapped data is read, which results in bad performance 3 Write the load tables in the input file • Results in a large input file size • Writing all the mapped data in input file affects performance 4 Read load tables from input and create load tables during solution • Large memory required to store the load tables • Reading the mapped data from input file and creating load tables results in bad performance. Motivation for Load Mapping workflow specification
