"Geometric" User Defined Criteria Overview • There is a new object available at the Model level of the Outline: Measures. • This object enables you to specify User-Defined-Criteria for geometric quantity, • namely: Mass, Volume, Center of Gravity, or Moment of Inertia. • you use it in a downstream Structural Optimization analysis as an Objective or as a Constraint. • There are different options that allows to devise sophisticated criteria • You can scope this object to one or several regions, optimizable or not. • For Center of Gravity and Moment of Inertia, you can also choose the component of interest • Three bodies in the model • Two are optimizable (shape opt + Topo) • UDC 1 = Mass over the whole model • UDC 2 = x-CoG over the whole model ( ) ( ) 1 2 1 , 2 min st: stiffness constraint 0.01 0.01 UDC UDC −
