Patch Conforming Tet – Advanced Improve Options (Beta) • Problem Statement: - In MCAD, thin or sharp geometric features often exist that if meshed will result in either extremely flat elements or tiny elements with excessive element counts - Users often have to return to CAD to fix these issues • Problem Solution: - In the PC Tet Method, give aggressive options to automatically move nodes after meshing to attain quality targets - Allow flexibility in how nodes are allowed to move • Conservative – only move nodes along the surfaces of the geometry • Aggressive – allow nodes to deviate from geometry to attain targets • Custom – allow users control to drive number of iterations and whether to protect nodes at geometric features - An option is also added to give users ability to disable Aggressive Thin Face Collapse when using Explicit Physics Preference
