Knowing this number for a particular element will help users when using command snippets. Ex: It be used to modify KEYOPTS, real constants, element selection, retrieve contact results, etc.. • This feature shows the Element APDL Name property for Point Mass, Distributed Mass and Contact Region objects. It sets Element type number to a user defined name. Later this name can be used in places where the element type number is required.
