Contact Split Default Changes • Contact conditions for the model are split during the distributed solution to generate several smaller contacts. • These contacts are then processed across the available cores. • Once the solution is complete, the split pairs are merged. This entire process is automatic from solver. • Contact Split property in Analysis Settings is set to Program Controlled as default for Static and Transient Structural Analyses. (CNCHECK,DMP command is written in input file). • This setting defaulted to Off in prior releases • When the user selects Contact Split to On, user can now enter 0 for number of splits and show in GUI that it is Chosen by Solver. CNCHECK,DMP is sent for this case.
