Installing the Geometry Licensing Patch for Ansys SpaceClaim

If you are having some trouble accessing Space Claim, you may need to install the Geometry Licensing Patch.

These steps work for the following versions of SpaceClaim: 2020R1, 2020R2 or 2021R1. These steps are not needed for 2021R2 or later versions.

  1. Go to https://download.ansys.com (log in if necessary)
  2. Select the release such as 2020R1, Click on Geometry License Patch
  3. Download the file and extract the file into a Windows folder (7 zip preferred)
  4. Run Setup as Administrator > Right click and Run as Administrator even if the user is logged in with Administrator rights.
