Click Choose File, browse to the directory containing json file you created in step #1, select the file and click Open. g. An informational message is displayed "You are uploading a file that will change your CLSID and CLS PIN. Do you want to continue?". Click OK. Your ansyslmd.ini file is updated, and the ID and PIN are displayed in the Ansys Licensing Client Settings utility. You can locate your ansyslmd.ini file in the following directory: \Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\ansyslmd.ini After completing the Windows Configuration steps above, you can now run Ansys products. Linux Configuration: 1. Obtain your Cloud License Server ID (CLSID) and PIN. a. Using your Ansys Customer Portal credentials, access the Ansys Licensing Portal at: https://licensing.ansys.com b. Click Preferences>Access Credentials. c. Obtain your Cloud License Server ID and your Cloud Server License PIN. If you are accessing the Ansys Licensing Portal for the first time, you will have to define your Cloud Server License PIN. To do this, enter a unique 6-digit number in the Cloud Server License PIN field and click Change Pin. d. After noting your Cloud License Server ID and your Cloud Server License PIN, sign out of the Ansys Licensing Portal. 2. Locate and open the ansyslmd.ini file. This file should be found in the following directory: /ansys_inc/shared_files/licensing/ ansyslmd.ini Note: If you did not define a license server during the Ansys product installation, you will not have an ansyslmd.ini file and will need to create one. Open a text editor and create a file named ansyslmd.ini in the licensing directory. 3. Append the ansyslmd.ini file with the following ANSYS_ELASTIC_CLS keyword: ANSYS_ELASTIC_CLS=CLSID:PIN • CLSID represents the Cloud License Server ID provided by your administrator. • PIN represents the Cloud License Server PIN provided by your administrator. 4. Save your changes to the ansyslmd.ini file.
