CFX: Aeromechanics – Generalized Model Force
• The Generalized Pressure (or Generalized Force
Density) of a mode is the projection of the pressure
field onto a specific structural mode shape
• The Generalized Force of a blade is the area
integral of the Generalized Pressure field on the
blade surface
• Built-in calculation of Generalized Force on
boundaries is now available in CFX, which can be
used for a proper judgement of the convergence of
the forcing term for a forced response calculation
• Includes Statistics, Interrupt Controls and
compatible with Operating Maps
