On the software side, we also need to adapt our models to better reflect our goals and ensure that they run stably on software like Ansys LS-PrePost and other applications related to the meshing and model preparation," said Charles Cheng, IT Specialist at Innovision. Innovision appreciates having access to Rand SIM engineers who are experts with Ansys software. This knowledge has increased the efficiency of Innovision's technical team. "We need to create models efficiently and optimize them for LS-DYNA runs. Sometimes there are tricky issues, mostly related to preparing our model for meshing tools. In one instance, we reached out to one of the Rand SIM engineers. He was very helpful and pointed out all the things we needed to do. There are quite a few examples like that, where we didn't have to hit our heads against the wall for days, if not weeks. It was great to have someone point things out and solve our issues within hours," Charles said. As Innovision Expands to New Customers and Markets, It Plans to Continue the Rand SIM Partnership "We aren't just software users; we are also software developers. As our software tools mature, we hope to work with Rand SIM so they can help us bring those tools to potential customers," Dr. Cheng said. One example is Innovision's Ufit-Exercise for Scoliosis solution. Scoliosis, which is an abnormal curvature of the spine, affects approximately seven million people in the United States. Through an SBIR project sponsored by the National Science Foundation and consistent internal development efforts, Innovision has developed a hardware-software integrated system called Ufit- Exercise which provides an immersive, instructive, and interactive environment so physiotherapists and scoliosis patients can conduct exercises effectively. "We've created a tool that integrates 3D cameras, as well as our virtualized tools and AI assistants to create a physical therapist at home. This could potentially change the lives of millions," Charles said. Conclusion Innovision appreciates its strong working relationship with Rand SIM.
