Solution Engineers used Rocky to evaluate multiple designs and concepts to select the most efficient and cost-effective solution. Results They were able to decrease design time and operational costs by reducing the risk of under-performing equipment. Rocky in Action Summary Ansys is the gold standard in engineering simulaton software. For more than 50 years, the company has developed software that helps engineers test design variations in virtual environments to minimize the chance of failure. The addition of Rocky to the Ansys product portfolio expanded its simulation capabilities to include the leading DEM software, and with the integration of Rocky into Ansys Workbench, manufacturers now have more opportunities than ever to assess the multiphysics interactions of their designs to save time and money while improving the customer and employee experience. As an Ansys Elite Channel Partner, Rand Simulation helps companies of all sizes and in all industries realize the benefits of Ansys software through sales, training, and support as well as through consulting services. About the Author Alex Lefebvre, Sr. Applications Engineer, Rand Simulation Alex collaborates with clients to find solutions that meet their needs, whether it be new software, technical training, or consulting services. He completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Miami, with a focus on aircraft design. After the completion of his Ph.D., Alex worked in Formula 1 as a CFD expert where he helped the team produce a car that finished 5th in the world's championship.
