sweep method before transferring the model for simulation with a new sweep meshing detection algorithm. This ensures accurate preparation on the first attempt, eliminating the need for multiple rounds of adjustments. • Beam/Shell Enhancements – The ability to create new beams with standard cross-sections and sizes from scratch, and save them into a custom filtered library, enables easy and efficient assignment of frequently used beams. • Optimized Faceting – Generate higher-quality CFD simulation meshes with a new automated faceting feature that optimizes facets by applying a maximum edge length and reducing long, thin facets. Additionally, users now have full control to customize all faceting options to balance model resolution and file size. • Large Model Handling – Support for the new Ansys .stride file format improves the handling of large, complex models with thousands of bodies. This lightweight representation allows users to efficiently edit individual bodies, remove or reorganize parts, and perform other model preparation modifications. Accelerated Parametric Workflows With this release, Discovery is taking design exploration to new levels, allowing users to investigate more designs in less time and effort than ever before, with major new features including • Burst to Cloud – Seamlessly set up and solve thousands of simulations in minutes using the new Burst to Cloud feature. Seamlessly integrated into the Discovery interface, it accelerates parametric studies by solving simultaneously in the cloud, enabling design space exploration, sensitivity studies, response curve generation, optimal design identification, and the creation of large simulation datasets to train predictive AI and meta- models like Ansys SimAI. • Script Parameters – Complex geometry and physics simulation workflows can now be parameterized and automated with new embedded script parameters that automatically update all parameters defined, allowing for increased efficiency and flexibility when performing design exploration studies. • PyAnsys Geometry – As we continue to expand our family of python packages that provide a unified and modern way to interface with Ansys products inside a python environment, we understand everything starts with geometry modeling, which is why we are releasing PyAnsys Geometry. A Python client for the Ansys Geometry service for repeatable, scripted workflow and to seamlessly connect to other PyAnsys components. • Signed Values – Gain greater confidence and clarity in your geometry model when using parameters with a new signed values technology. This enhancement supports negative values and rotation/translation through zero as well as a new display method to visualize updates as they are made.
