Whether you work in aerospace, automotive, commercial, medical, military, or any other industry, there are levels of standards you must meet. It is also not new that many a lot of products fail the required tests. According to the results of a survey of EMC test lab providers: • 50 percent fail the first test • 35 percent must test more than three iterations. The test lab providers also reported that in general, the people who bring products in for testing fall into two main categories: 1. They have no idea if their product will pass or not 2. They have way over-designed their product in hopes that it will pass Neither of these situations is ideal. And considering the rising density of electronics-based products, it will just get worse unless changes are made.
