OVERVIEW With the 2021 R2 release, Ansys Speos continues to speed optical simulation development time by introducing powerful new modeling, visualization and LiDAR features, accelerating your time to market. Productivity enhancements allow you to perform 20X faster meshing and increase simulation speed by 6X. Visualize your optical simulation in Speos Live Preview and see the same results as those produced with Speos CPU. Ansys Speos continues to increase the reliability of your ADAS and AV simulations by putting your LiDAR scanning simulation in motion to evaluate dynamics distortion on the raw signal. You can also reduce your AV/ADAS development time by performing LiDAR simulations in Ansys Cloud to produce faster results. RELEASE HIGHLIGHTS Ansys Speos Boost Your Optical Simulation with Productivity Enhancement • Speos introduces a new libraries panel for Speos Material Libraries. Manage and explore multiple Material Libraries and add libraries to your project with a simple drag and drop for faster simulation set up. • Simulation meshing is now 20x faster and local meshing up to 100x faster compared to previous versions. Visualize Your Optical Simulation with Speos Live Preview • Speos Live Preview provides you with a 100% true-to-life way to quickly view the same results as those produced with Speos CPU because polarization is now calculated on each impact on transparent surfaces. Design Your Optical Simulation with Robust Design Geometries • With spread control on TIR Lens for optical lighting designs, you can control the maximum aperture of the beam pattern and define how light is spread from center to edge or edge to center for optical design flexibility. Expanded Sensor Simulation Capabilities • New dynamic LiDAR capabilities enable object movement during LiDAR scanning simulations allowing you to evaluate distortion on the raw signal. • Scanning and rotating LiDAR sensor simulations are now compatible with Speos HPC and Ansys Cloud. • The Speos LiDAR definition is enriched bringing it closer to real LiDAR, ensuring more accurate simulations.
